Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission exploring the mysterious Forbidden Lands. For the first time in the series, the hunter is fully voiced and accompanied by a colourful cast, including a Palico partner, Handler Alma, smithy Gemma, and the mysterious child Nata. The team ventures into an unexplored frontier filled with surprises at every turn.
The Forbidden Lands features multiple biomes such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, each shifting between vibrant seasons and harsh climates that influence monster behaviour. Hunters will encounter new creatures ranging from small wildlife to large monsters, some travelling in packs and displaying unique behaviours. Players can ride the Seikret, an agile mount used to traverse terrain, sharpen weapons on the move, and switch between two weapons while hunting.
With evolved hunting action, new moves, special abilities and equipment, the gameplay flows seamlessly from cutscenes to action for a deeply immersive experience.
